User data deletion
You can ask us to delete any personal information we have about you at any time. This page explains what we have, how to ask us to delete it, and how long it takes.
What we have on you
Depending on how you've interacted with us, we may hold one or more of the following:
- Email and order history if you've bought a part from us directly or through eBay.
- Sourcing-request information — name, email, phone, what bike, what part — if you filled out our Find a part form.
- WhatsApp message history if you've messaged us. (Note: WhatsApp itself also stores this on Meta's servers; you'd need to ask Meta separately for that copy.)
- Anonymous web analytics via Google Analytics — page views, device type, approximate city. This is not tied to your identity and Google retains it for a default 14 months before deleting on its own.
We do not hold:
- Your payment card details — Stripe and eBay handle those; we never see them.
- Your Instagram profile data — we only display our own posts on our site, we don't read other accounts' info.
- Your Facebook profile data — same as Instagram, we only post our own listings.
How to request deletion
One method, one place. Email us at:
Use the subject line "Data deletion request" and include:
- The email address you used with us (or a phone number, or an order number — anything that lets us find you in our records)
- Optional: which information you want deleted. If you don't specify, we delete everything we can.
You can also WhatsApp the request to +1 (737) 326-2350 if email isn't convenient.
How long it takes
- Acknowledgement: within 3 business days, you'll get a reply confirming we received your request.
- Deletion: within 30 calendar days of acknowledgement, your data is removed from our active systems.
- Backups: a copy may persist in encrypted backups for up to 90 days before standard rotation overwrites it. We don't access or use that data; it's purely a recovery artifact.
What we have to keep
US tax and accounting law requires us to retain transaction records for up to seven years after the sale. For completed orders, we may keep the minimum information needed to satisfy those requirements (order number, date, total, sales-tax info) but we'll remove your name, email, phone, address, and any contact history. If you'd like the legal text behind this, IRS Publication 583 covers it.
Third-party services
Some of your data lives on third-party services we use. We can delete what we hold there, but for full coverage you may also need to contact:
- eBay: ebay.com — account/data deletion
- Stripe: contact us; we initiate deletion from our merchant side.
- Formspree (contact form submissions): we delete from our Formspree project on request.
- Google Analytics: anonymous; nothing personally identifiable to delete.
- Meta / Facebook / WhatsApp: facebook.com — your data on Meta
App permissions
Our website and connected app (used to post our own listings to Facebook, Instagram, and eBay) does not read or store any data about other users' Meta/Instagram/Facebook profiles. The app only accesses our own business accounts. There is no user-level data on the Meta side to delete — but if Meta has flagged you for a deletion confirmation, email us with the subject "Data deletion request" and we'll respond with confirmation per their requirement.
